One in a Million

Hi, I'm Juliana!
I've started this Blog for all the elementary, junior high, and high school girls out there to give them a start building their fashion confidence because I've been there, and it stinks. I know you can't do this alone though, so this is for the moms too, I'll have articles with advice for women of all ages.
In 2003 I started at a public middle school, and after wearing a uniform for many years I was quite at a loss at how to dress and turned to the comfort of jeans, t-shirt, and sweat shirts throughout seventh grade. At the start of eighth grade though, I started to have some fun with fashion, and I must admit I did wear some crazy ensembles. One of my best I must say was sporting mid-wash flare jeans, with an orange diagonal striped spaghetti strap A-line dress, and my dads white button up blouse tied at the waist. Oh yes, I wore those together. And to think, I was the columnist for my junior highs fashion column. Ha!
So that leads me to my next subject: my credentials. What right do I have to give you, the young women of America, fashion advice? Well, fashion is my life. Summer before my sophomore year the most wonderful woman, Wendy Maves, allowed this 16 year old girl to be a sales girl at her boutique. I loved it. Because of Wendy I am now going to the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago for fashion marketing and management and work at yet another fashion boutique. I have dabbled in sewing, styling, and sewing but my number one credential is that I've been where you are. I dressed like everyone else, i made my way though middle school hoping to blend into everyone else. And i know it's not fun. Creative girls often try to break the mold, and they get made fun of. Girls are so cruel sometimes. And that's where i come in, I want to help you become who you are meant to be.
So, that's that. I'm Juliana and I'll be writing this fashion advice blog. I can't claim all the credit, my wonderful mom was the one to come up with the idea of writing a blog. You may not believe it, but your mom knows a lot more than you give her credit for.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my blog, I enjoy writing. Feel free to email me any questions as well, I would love to answer them, my email is

Don't worry, junior high doesn't last forever.
