Wear: Handmade makes the season bright

Handmade gifts really are the most special, and the leather wraps I'm wearing today were handmade for me by one of my KensieGirls. You might remember this holiday party, where we also swapped secret santa gifts and I LOVE mine!!

What's your favorite handmade gift? I think they are what this season's all about because they are made with love and (a lot) of patience.

Wear: Dressy Casual

I really love maxi dresses when you want to be comfortably fashionable, so today I tried to send a mixed message with a chambray shirt and awesome wedges. The weather lately has been so warm, it's December! Christmas is just days away and yet I wasn't cold taking these pictures without a jacket.

What are you doing to get in the holiday spirit this Christmas Eve-eve? I've been crafting and baking up a storm, but today I'm taking it easy and enjoying my day off with my honey whose home from the deep south.

Wear: Happy Holidays Party

Shake up your definition of holiday colors this season. For our holiday party at work I wore purple, one of our most asked for colors at Kensie, and dark navy and still felt holiday-licious. You don't need to wear an ugly Christmas sweater to get in the spirit, although I think they're great so I won't judge you if you do.

Here are the holiday outfits of two other KensieGirls:
Sidra is in the belted white dress and Chelsea is in the black sequin dress

Both of their dresses and shoes are from Kensie, naturally.

Wear: Signs of snow

Finally! It's snowing, well kind of- can you see a few random flakes in these pictures? I live in the midwest and yet there is no snow on the ground as I wake up this morning. Dear Mother Nature- it's December 12th!

So I picked up these boots at the Kensie outlet then I log in to Facebook and these ear muffs pop up in my news feed! I had to have them.
These ear muffs are from a locally owned shop in Naperville called It's a Bling Thing and cost a tiny $15- how perfect!
It's a Bling Thing has tons and tons of accessories from rings to iPhone covers all at affordable prices, and the staff was so friendly when I stopped in I'm itching to go back.

Slacking on your holiday shopping? I strongly suggest popping into It's a Bling Thing, they have something for your 10 year old cousin, chic accessories for your sister, and a little something for yourself.
For more information visit their website and Facebook.

Wear: Influenced by Family

For my birthday my mom and I went vintage shopping in Chicago and I found my favorite new shop- the Ravenswood Antique Market. With everything from furniture to jewelry they feature different sellers with impeccably curated collections of pieces from 1920-1970.

I was so excited to find this bakelite "Irene" pin in one of the jewelry cases, not only do I have a love of bakelite installed in my from my gram, but Irene was my great grandmothers name. Tall, stunning, and creative my great grandma was someone I really looked up to growing up- she had such an artistic hand and a great story to tell.

Head on over to RAM soon- maybe you'll find a piece that you can't walk away from.
