Scotland's Isle of Skye

Skirt: Anthropologie | Top: Kensie | Necklace: Riffraff | Shoes: Born

So I've never been to Scotland, but if all windows look out on a scene that looks like this skirt then I'll happily pack my chunky sweaters and sip some strong black tea on the plane. Sorry for the wrinkles, it's hard to take pictures after a long day of working, and when I saw the sun setting I knew I had no time to steam!

I just realized that my birthday is exactly one month from today, the big 2-3! It's hard to believe as when people ask how old I am now I still have to think about it to make sure I don't say 21. 23 is a kind of grown up age, you don't have any giant mile stones like getting your driver's license or buying alcohol ahead of you any more, just responsibilities "le sigh".

Visit: Huntsville Botanical Gardens

Ryan and I visited the Huntsville Botanical Gardens last weekend when the weather was cool and we had a fantastic time! Until the end of October they have scarecrows displayed throughout the garden, as well as a hay ride and corn maze for kids.

My favorite was visiting the butterfly house, I even got one to land on my finger! If you have a Saturday or Sunday to spend we really suggest visiting!

Sit. Stay. Love. at Anthropologie

Visit an Anthropologie near you this month to support local dog adoption agencies!
If you don't need a dog many stores are also running pet supply drives so you can show your support in a different way.
For more information and to find an event near you visit their website, events at each location are always fun!

Feather Light

It's finally cooled off enough here in Huntsville to wear maxi skirts- yay! This mean jacket season isn't too far away, right?? This transition into fall has been really lovely though, this coming week it's going to be around 80 degrees!

I love how light weight this knit tank is from Three Dots, I swapped the skirt for shorts for a concert that night and the tank easily transitioned into something more casual. Three Dots is such an incredible brand too, we carried it at the two boutiques I worked at in high school and college and their pieces have still lasted me years! The company was founded by Sharon Lebon and started with three styles in three sizes (hence three dots) and has really grown into a well tailored knits collection. This tank is from their summer line which was inspired by Provence and you can shop Three Dots online here!

Into the Desert

Last week I went to visit my mom in Arizona to enjoy a long weekend and get ready for my sister's wedding in October! I took a few pictures of my trip, enjoy!

Sorry for my long term break from my blog- it wasn't planned! It's always hard moving to a new state and starting a new job at the same time, these past 6 months have flown by!
